London alternative metal band deliver their most emotionally raw statement yet
Crew Entertainment is proud to announce the release of “Broken Wings,” the new single from London-based alternative metal band Romeo Zulu, out now.
Emerging from South East London’s heavy music scene, Romeo Zulu has built a reputation as a band equally at home in loud rooms and late-night headphone listens. Their sound draws on the emotional weight of Deftones and Fightstar, the anthemic reach of Funeral for a Friend, and the raw metallic drive of Sepultura — landing somewhere both aggressive and cinematic. “Broken Wings” continues that trajectory, trading some of the band’s crushing low end for a more vulnerable, melodic core without losing any of their intensity.
Written as a message of devotion and reassurance to someone struggling to see their own worth, “Broken Wings” is built around a simple, aching plea: that even after the fall, flight is still possible. The song moves from tender verses into a soaring, repeated refrain — “Spread your broken wings, and maybe we can learn to fly again” — a hook built for both mosh pits and quiet, late-night listens.
The release follows a run of momentum for the band, including their debut EP To Die in Silence, radio support from BBC Radio.
“Broken Wings” will be supported by a full social media campaign across Romeo Zulu’s platforms in the lead-up to and following release.
