LONDON, UK — July 26, 2026 — Canadian indie pop artist Andrew Cassara released his new single “You Stay” this past Friday, July 24, via Crew Entertainment. The track marks another step in Cassara’s ongoing evolution away from the disco pop energy of his earlier catalogue and toward a warmer, guitar led indie pop sound built as much for the stage as for headphones.
“You Stay” strips things back to a single night that won’t end: a half empty bottle, things left unsaid, a plea to stay until the morning. Where Cassara’s earlier singles were built for the dance floor, “You Stay” leans on organic sounds, electric guitar textures with a pinch of synths to tie it all together, the kind of song built to open up live into bursts of emotion.
“I’ve been living inside bands like LANY and Fly By Midnight for a while now, artists who know how to make a single guitar feel like a full room,” said Cassara. “‘You Stay’ came from wanting that same warmth, something that feels like a late night you don’t want to end, and that translates the same way on stage as it does in the studio.”
“You Stay” was written and produced by Cassara alongside longtime production partner Steve Gardiner, who share writing and production credits on the track. The pair have written and self-produced most of Andrew’s catalogue together, and continue to turn out new music at a steady clip.
